Key information

The Gwangju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency hosted an esports mentor program from October 24 to October 25. Held at the Gwangju Esports Arena, the initiative was part of the Asian Culture City Creation Project supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism alongside the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated City.

Designed for high school students, university students, and job seekers, the program aimed to provide practical insights into the esports sector. Participants engaged with industry professionals to understand specific job requirements and develop necessary skills through hands-on training.

The curriculum focused on essential operational roles, including directing, technical support, observing, camera operation, and LSM highlight production. Beyond theoretical learning, attendees worked directly with mentors to master professional workflows. Mentors evaluated participants based on their engagement and attitude to select the top mentees.

Following the conclusion of this event, the Gwangju Esports Arena plans to organize a second iteration of the program to further assist youth in career exploration. Details regarding the schedule and application process for the upcoming session will be announced at a later date.
