Bandai Namco is celebrating the tenth anniversary of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which originally launched in October 2016. To mark the occasion, the developer is releasing a free update on October 27, followed by a special event starting October 30.
The update introduces login bonuses, special costumes, and additions to the Time Gallery, though the latter requires the Future Saga Chapter 4 downloadable content. Additionally, the Final Festival of Universes event will allow players to earn 25 times the usual amount of star coins and increase camaraderie levels with characters like Trunks, Fu, and the Supreme Kai of Time.
A key feature of the celebration is the ability to earn items that carry over to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, which is scheduled for release in 2027. By obtaining a commemorative medal or a specific combat uniform during the event, players will unlock exclusive rewards in the upcoming sequel.
To claim these bonuses in the future title, players must link their Bandai Namco ID account once the game launches in 2027. While the specific nature of these rewards remains unconfirmed, the event serves as a bridge between the long-running title and its successor.
