Nexon announced that a Korean-language demo of its upcoming title, Pareidolia, will be showcased at AGF 2026. This marks the first time domestic players can experience the game, which has previously been presented to international audiences at Anime Expo and Tokyo Game Show.
Developed by the RX Studio under Nexon Games' IO Division, the game utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to render the otherworldly city of Animasi. Players assume the role of a revitalization center director, managing daily life at the 'Tasogare-kan' residence alongside characters known as 'Mates' while engaging in a 'Live Turn Battle' system to resolve anomalies and erosion.
The AGF 2026 booth features a recreation of the Tasogare-kan, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the game's atmosphere. Interactive elements include voice-recognition technology, enabling visitors to communicate directly with Mates or participate in activities like rock-paper-scissors, alongside the opportunity to receive original merchandise.
PD Cha Min-seo of Nexon Games' RX Studio expressed excitement about introducing the world of Pareidolia to Korean users. The team aims to provide a comprehensive experience covering exploration, combat, and character interaction, inviting attendees to engage with the various content prepared for the event.
