Game*Spark has officially announced the results of its eight hundred twenty-fifth weekend humor contest. The theme invited readers to imagine absurd vulnerabilities discovered in the latest gaming hardware, resulting in a variety of creative submissions.
The winning entries highlighted humorous technical flaws. One submission suggested that the facial recognition camera causes random settings during character creation, while another proposed that setting a player name to a real celebrity's name actually turns the user into that person.
Other notable responses included security concerns regarding PHP, a scenario where plugging a joystick into a security hole causes issues, and a critical failure where sealing all physical holes to prevent security breaches leads to the console overheating.
Additional submissions focused on privacy and content management. These included a flaw where a user's real name is broadcast globally despite appearing as a nickname locally, and a system that leaks information about adult games based on the user's current play history.
