Developer OrangeLily has announced the upcoming release of the mystery deduction game UNKNOWN PASSENGER 47 on Steam, which will feature a Traditional Chinese interface. The title is currently available as a free Japanese demo on itch.io and unityroom.

The game centers on a fictional air disaster involving Soten Airlines flight SA417, which crashed while traveling from Taipei to Tokyo. While the manifest lists 40 passengers and 7 crew members, investigators recovered 48 bodies. Players assume the role of an identification officer tasked with matching these remains to the passenger list to solve the mystery of the extra body.

Gameplay mechanics involve cross-referencing 17 types of data, including dental records, surgical scars, and personal belongings, against passenger manifests and sales logs. Players utilize a virtual workspace to organize evidence cards and notes, with the system confirming identities once three correct matches are logged. The game includes a three-stage hint system to assist players, and there are no penalties for incorrect deductions.

The developer estimates a total playtime of 2 to 3 hours. The game is strictly fictional, and the developer notes that all descriptions of the crash and medical examinations are text-based, with no visual depictions of remains included.
