Developer Playful Systems has announced that its competitive drawing title, Sloppy Forgeries, is scheduled for release on November 14, 2026. The game tasks players with recreating famous paintings to compete for the highest accuracy score.
Gameplay mechanics impose strict limitations, restricting participants to between four and six colors and three specific brush sizes: medium, large, and extra-large. Furthermore, the game lacks undo and fill functions, requiring players to rely on precision as the system calculates scores in real-time.
The title supports online multiplayer for up to eight users via participation codes, alongside local play on a single machine. Players can utilize time-limited auxiliary tools like grids and pins, or challenge themselves with randomized styles such as pointillism, pixel art, or extra-fine brushes.
Technical features include Wacom tablet support for up to two devices and keyboard shortcuts. While the game currently only supports English, the developer noted that future translations remain a possibility. Completed works are saved locally, allowing users to view brushwork through time-lapse replays or export them as GIFs.
