Key information

Publisher rokaplay and developer Kaleb announced that the sandbox aquarium simulator Drawquarium will launch on PC via Steam on November 13, 2026. Created by a professional 3D artist from the film industry, the project began as a personal endeavor to build a peaceful underwater world. The game has already garnered significant attention, exceeding 75,000 Steam wishlist registrations prior to its release.

In Drawquarium, players can design their own fish, plants, and objects like submarines or spaceships. The game supports mouse input, Wacom tablets, and PNG imports, allowing users to integrate external artwork. Players can nurture their creations by feeding them and celebrating birthdays, which causes the fish to develop a metallic sheen over time.

Customization extends to the aquarium environment, where players can adjust sand colors, lighting, and decor by collecting golden scales. The game also functions as an animated desktop wallpaper and includes productivity tools such as a Pomodoro timer, task manager, and diary to assist with daily work. Users can also visit other players' aquariums to gain inspiration.

Drawquarium is currently available as a free demo on Steam. While the developer initially learned Unreal Engine and Blueprints independently to build the game, it has grown into a title with broad community interest. The game is scheduled for release on November 13, 2026, with plans to support multiple languages including Japanese.
