Solo developer Lily Company announced on October 25 that the identity verification mystery game UNKNOWN PASSENGER 47 is coming to Steam. The title, which supports Japanese, is currently available for free on unityroom and itch.io.
The game centers on a plane crash where 47 people died, yet 48 bodies were recovered. Players act as investigators, using 17 types of documents—such as passenger lists and asset ledgers—to match bodies to identities. The gameplay involves a verification system where players confirm identities in sets of three.
To assist with deduction, the game provides a workspace for organizing documents and adding notes. There are no time limits or game-over states, allowing players to proceed at their own pace. A three-tier hint system is included, and players can eventually reveal the correct answers directly.
The developer, Orange Lily, describes the title as an entry-level Obra Dinn-like experience. While the Steam release date remains unannounced, the browser version has already garnered high praise for its logical puzzle mechanics and atmosphere, with an estimated playtime of two to three hours.
