Singapore-based developer LandShark Games has officially released version 1.0 of the youth fantasy RPG Gifford Academy on Steam. The title follows teenagers who are transported to the magical world of Caldria, where they navigate personal struggles and adventures.
The game features tactical turn-based combat designed to minimize repetitive grinding. Players control characters like Erika, Viva, Cap, and Jinnie, whose personalities evolve based on player choices and dialogue, directly impacting gameplay through a unique growth system.
The full release introduces the Story Creator tool, allowing users to write custom story scripts. Additionally, the Voice Studio feature enables players to record their own voices for characters and villains, while a new cat pet has been added to the game.
Gifford Academy is currently available only in English. The developer noted that future language support, including Japanese, will be prioritized based on Steam wishlist numbers. A 10 percent discount is currently offered to celebrate the launch.
