The Japanese publishing rights for Blue Archive are transitioning from Yostar to Nexon Japan. This change is scheduled to take effect in January 2027, coinciding with the game's 6th anniversary festival and update period.
Nexon Games initiated discussions regarding the future operating structure approximately one year ago. Following careful negotiations, both companies agreed to the transfer to ensure the long-term, stable maintenance of the title.
Existing players will have their account information and play data, including acquired items and Pyroxenes, fully preserved during the transition. Nexon Japan has already released a QnA regarding the transfer, with further details on specific procedures to be announced later.
Nexon Japan, Nexon Games, and Yostar are collaborating to ensure a smooth handover. In November, a discussion video featuring Blue Archive General Producer Kim Yong-ha and Yostar President Li Hengda will be released alongside an account transfer portal. Kim expressed gratitude for Yostar's contributions, while Nexon Games emphasized that the new dedicated team at Nexon Japan will maintain service quality through close collaboration.
