Key information
Bandai Namco is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 with a series of updates scheduled for release on October 27 and October 30. These additions are available to players across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The initial update introduces login bonuses, new costumes, and enhancements to the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC's Gallery of Time. Following this, the Final Festival of Universes event will allow players to increase camaraderie levels with specific characters like Trunks, Fu, or The Supreme Kai of Time to unlock special illustrations. Participants can also earn 25 times the standard amount of Star Coins to acquire rare items.
IGN previously awarded the sequel a 7.5/10 score, describing it as an ambitious title that features rough edges alongside deep brawling and RPG mechanics. The current anniversary festivities serve as a sendoff for the game while fans await the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, which was re-revealed earlier this year, has faced a delay. Producer Masayuki Hirano noted that the release was pushed back to ensure the team can fully realize their ambitions for the launch and long-term support of the title.
