Square Enix has announced two new music products to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series. Both the vinyl and CD editions are scheduled for release on January 6, 2027.
The collections feature 16 tracks, with one song selected from each mainline entry ranging from the original Final Fantasy through Final Fantasy XVI. The tracklist includes iconic pieces such as "Main Theme" from the first game, "One-Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy VII, and "To Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X.
The "THE CRYSTAL VINYL EDITION" is a 12-inch, two-disc LP set priced at 8800 yen. Alternatively, "THE CRYSTAL EDITION" is a single-disc CD in a digipak format, retailing for 3960 yen. Square Enix notes that the tracklist is subject to change.
Customers who purchase either edition through Amazon.co.jp are eligible to receive a "mega jacket" as a first-come, first-served bonus. The availability of this bonus is limited and subject to stock levels at the retailer.
