The social RPG Blue Archive is transitioning its Japanese publishing operations from Yostar to Nexon in January 2027. This shift aims to integrate development, operations, and IP management under the NEXON Games and Nexon group structure.
Regarding the PC version, current access remains available until the maintenance period associated with the publisher change begins. Nexon is currently developing a new environment for PC play, with specific details and launch timing to be announced later.
Nexon confirmed that while they are preparing a new PC environment, they cannot yet disclose specific details, including whether a Steam version will be offered in Japan. The company intends to ensure continued PC access for players following the transition.
To maintain account data, including items like Blue Archive's currency, users must link their accounts to a Yostar ID and complete a pre-application process before the January 2027 maintenance. Guest accounts will not transfer automatically, and failure to register will result in loss of access.
