Frontier Works announced on October 24, 2026, that the novel adaptation of the horror game Aquarium is Not Dancing will be released in two volumes on February 15, 2027. Both the upper and lower volumes are scheduled to launch simultaneously.
The original title was developed by creator Daidai over an eight-year period for PC and Nintendo Switch platforms. While Daidai is responsible for the novel's text and cover illustrations, the project will feature interior artwork by manga artist Sai Naekawa, known for the series Watashi o Tabetai, Hitodenashi.
Frontier Works also unveiled a special limited edition available exclusively through their official online store. This premium package includes a slipcase, an acrylic clock inspired by a pocket watch and Bianca Aquarium tickets, a B6-sized book cover, and two metal bookmarks.
