Nexon Games has announced that the Japanese publishing operations for Blue Archive will transition from Yostar to Nexon Japan. This decision was officially revealed during the Blue Archive Live! special broadcast held on the 25th.
Following the transfer, Nexon Japan will manage all aspects of the service, including official broadcasts, marketing campaigns, and offline events. The company has been preparing for this shift since early this year by recruiting specialized personnel for subculture game operations.
Kim Yong-ha, EPD of Blue Archive at Nexon Games, stated that the change was a long-considered decision aimed at ensuring the game's long-term stability. He emphasized that Nexon Games and Yostar are working closely to ensure that player data and progress are transferred seamlessly.
While the Japanese service changes hands, Nexon will continue to manage the Korean and global versions, and Yostar will maintain its role in the Chinese market. Specific dates for the transition remain to be announced, though further details regarding account migration are available on the official notice page.
