Marvel Comics has officially released Amazing Spider-Man: Halloween Special (2026) #1, a standalone adventure designed to capture the nostalgic spirit of classic holiday television specials. The narrative follows Spider-Man in New York as he encounters Hallows’ Eve, who disrupts his holiday observations by stealing jewels and placing a curse on the hero.
The comic functions as a self-contained story that avoids complex multiversal threats or ongoing continuity, making it accessible to new readers. GamingTrend reviewer notes that the antagonist, Hallows’ Eve, evokes the feel of a Saturday morning cartoon villain, which complements Spider-Man’s characteristic humor and upbeat personality.
In addition to the primary narrative, the issue includes humorous short strips by Ty Templeton and Lee Gatlin. These segments utilize a visual style reminiscent of traditional Sunday newspaper comics, providing a nostalgic experience that the reviewer found to be a positive addition to the overall package.
GamingTrend recommends the issue for readers of all ages, praising its lighthearted tone and festive atmosphere. The publication confirms that the title is currently available for purchase at local comic shops, with the review based on a retail copy provided by the publisher.
