A new fan-made virtual project titled the Necropolis offers a space for players to mourn discontinued MMORPGs and always-online titles. Created by SomeoneTookMyYogurt, the digital environment features 367 headstones representing games that have closed, alongside empty plots for titles that were announced but never released.
Visitors can explore the moonlit city either on foot or by floating in a hot-air balloon. The memorial provides detailed information for each entry, including the original developers, peak player counts, the circumstances of the game's closure, and a dedicated epitaph. Each record is accompanied by a cited source for verification.
Beyond the memorial, recent industry updates include Helldivers II transitioning to Easy Anti-Cheat to address modding concerns. Additionally, Crossout has expanded to the Xbox app on Microsoft Windows, allowing players to maintain progress and purchases across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms using a single Microsoft account.
Other notable developments include V Rising offering a free Haunted Nights Castle Pack until November 2nd, and EVE Online players currently participating in elections for the 21st CSM. Meanwhile, Palworld has announced its upcoming Side by Side update, which is slated for release in winter 2026.
