Key information
Yostar, the current operator of the Japanese version of Blue Archive, announced during a recent official livestream that it will conclude its six-year partnership with developer NEXON Games. The company plans to transfer all Japanese regional operations to NEXON around January 2027.
The transition is scheduled for January 2027, with NEXON expected to oversee the game updates and the "Blue Archive Fes!" event occurring in the latter half of that month. While the specific date for the handover remains pending, Yostar will continue managing all services and planned activities until the official transfer occurs.
Yostar representative Li Hengda confirmed that the game service will persist following the change in publisher. The company intends to ensure that all player data, including unused Pyroxenes and existing in-game items, will be fully preserved. Further details regarding account migration procedures will be provided in future announcements.
Since its initial Japanese launch on February 4, 2021, Yostar has managed local operations, merchandise, and various promotional projects. Following this transition, the Japanese version will join the international version under direct NEXON management. The companies did not disclose specific reasons for terminating the distribution agreement, citing only that the decision followed extensive negotiations.
