Yostar and Nexon announced on October 25 that the Japanese publishing responsibilities for the RPG Blue Archive will transition from Yostar to Nexon. This shift in operations is scheduled to take place around January 2027.
Following the transition, Nexon will manage the development, operations, and publishing for the title within Japan. The transfer is set to coincide with a game update in late January 2027 and the Blue Archive Fes! Rock with Me 2027 event, which is scheduled for January 23 and January 24 at Makuhari Messe.
Yostar representative director Li Hengda clarified that this announcement does not signal the end of the game's service. Players will retain their current game data and items, including the in-game currency known as Pyroxenes, throughout the transition process.
According to Li, the decision to end the contract with Yostar was initiated by Nexon. Both companies engaged in extensive discussions before reaching a mutual agreement to transfer operations. Yostar intends to continue managing the game responsibly until the transition is finalized in January.
