HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 7.2, titled "Hour of Ruin," will launch on November 4 across all platforms. The update introduces a new region in eastern Snezhnaya, where players must help quell the Holy Soil phenomenon threatening Teyvat.
The update adds two playable characters: 5-star Electro Catalyst wielder Mitya and 4-star Electro Sword wielder Valeriy. Mitya introduces Stellar-Conduct reactions, which convert Superconduct damage to boost party output. Valeriy, a Major of the Armory Palace, provides shields and Electro damage buffs to support these teams.
Exploration expands to the underground city of Novokitezhgrad and the historic Wingspan Peak. Players will utilize new Prime Ice Constructs and elemental shotguns to neutralize contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits. Additionally, the update features a new Archon Quest, a colossal boss encounter, and various limited-time events.
Version 7.2 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android. Completing the Archon Quest rewards players with 560 Primogems and character materials, while event participation offers further rewards, including a Snezhnaya-themed Wind Glider and the option to invite a 4-star character.
