Infinity Ward has released a new update for Modern Warfare 4, focusing on stability, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. The developer is actively working to resolve various technical issues and exploits identified across the game's multiplayer and DMZ modes.
Multiplayer adjustments include refined spawn locations and timing for Hijack. The patch also fixes a Search and Destroy exploit involving bomb defusal from incorrect positions, prevents the Deathstalker killstreak from exiting map boundaries on Rooftops, and ensures the Portable Radar functions correctly in Hardcore mode.
The update addresses several interface and loadout bugs, such as incorrect weapon slot displays and visual glitches with M4 attachments. Additionally, DMZ-specific fixes prevent party leaders from forcibly removing teammates and resolve issues where players could become trapped in rocks on the Hajin map.
This patch is currently live for all players. Infinity Ward continues to investigate ongoing issues, including random spectator kicks and network errors occurring during DMZ extractions. Players are encouraged to monitor the official Trello board for updates on remaining known problems.
