Behaviour Interactive has announced that all Chucky content will be removed from purchase in Dead by Daylight starting November 24, 2026. While the developer did not provide a specific reason for the removal, the decision follows a pattern of licensed characters leaving the game, including Michael Myers earlier this year and Pinhead in 2025.
The removal means that The Good Guy killer, along with his associated cosmetics and outfits released since 2023, will no longer be available for new purchases. Behaviour Interactive confirmed that while no future add-ons will be created for the character, they will continue to support the killer with necessary bug fixes.
Players who already own the Chucky Chapter will retain access to the content after the November deadline. However, fans have expressed frustration regarding the recurring loss of major licenses. Some users speculated that the studio should have secured more proactive contractual agreements to prevent these removals, especially following the earlier departure of the Demogorgon.
To accommodate players before the cutoff, a "Last Chance" sale will begin on October 26, offering a 50% discount on all Chucky-related items across all platforms. Despite these licensing challenges, the studio continues to expand its roster, with recent additions including Jason and the upcoming arrival of Art the Clown.
