These historical experiences and established relationships exert a lasting influence on the character's progression years later, utilizing simplified virtual rules rather than a strict simulation of real-world conditions.
While the title lacks real-time multiplayer or cooperative features, it encourages social comparison. Players can share identical starting conditions and compare their divergent life paths after playing on separate devices, a design intended to foster unique storytelling experiences from shared origins.
Forked Lives is currently accessible as a free web game via smartphone and PC browsers, requiring no account registration or software downloads. The project, which utilized AI tools during development, supports 15 languages including Korean.
