Key information

The open-world game Neverness to Everness (NTE) has introduced four new horror-themed anomaly missions in its Ver. 1.4 update. These missions offer varied experiences, ranging from lighthearted adventures to intense psychological horror, providing players with unique gameplay mechanics beyond standard city exploration.

Gameplay mechanics vary significantly across these missions. Players can experience platforming as a tiny character in a giant house, solve puzzles and fight ghosts in a haunted mansion, engage in stealth-based infiltration within a nightmare world, or navigate a claustrophobic, first-person bus journey filled with moving mannequins.

The reviewer assessed these missions on a five-point fear scale. The author rated the lighthearted "Mirror World" adventure as a 1, the "Ghost Mail" mansion as a 2, the stealth-focused "Dream Extra" as a 3, and the intense "Last Bus" mission as a 4. The reviewer noted that while the "Last Bus" mission was the most frightening due to its restrictive first-person perspective, they encountered a technical bug that left them stranded, which they hope is resolved.

Neverness to Everness is currently available as a free-to-play title on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. These new missions demonstrate the game's ability to incorporate diverse, independent gameplay styles within its supernatural anomaly framework.
