Behaviour Interactive has announced that all Chucky content will be removed from purchase in Dead by Daylight starting November 24, 2026. While the developer did not provide a specific reason for the removal, the decision follows a pattern of licensed characters leaving the game, including Michael Myers earlier this year and Pinhead in 2025.
The removal affects the Killer known as The Good Guy, along with all associated outfits and cosmetics released since 2023. Behaviour confirmed that while no future add-ons will be created for the character, they will continue to support the game with necessary bug fixes. Players who already own the content will retain access to it after the November deadline.
To accommodate players before the content is pulled from digital storefronts, a "Last Chance" sale will begin on October 26, 2026. This promotion offers a 50% discount on all Chucky-related items across all platforms, running until the final removal date.
Community reaction has been mixed, with some players expressing frustration over the recurring loss of major licenses. While fans speculate that licensing issues are the primary cause, Behaviour has not provided further details. Despite these removals, the studio continues to integrate new franchises, with Art the Clown from Terrifier scheduled for release next month.
