Gaijin Entertainment, the developer behind the military vehicle game War Thunder, is expanding its focus on historical storytelling. The studio produced a two-part documentary series titled Frog Fathers, which explores Naval special operations missions conducted during World War II.
The films document the experiences of Navy SEAL veterans as they retrace the steps of their predecessors during the Normandy landing and the Battle of Okinawa. The series features interviews with historians and honors those who died in combat. Additionally, the Okinawa segment highlights efforts to restore coral reefs damaged during the conflict.
Viewers who missed the initial releases in 2024 and 2026 can access both documentaries on streaming platforms starting Tuesday, November 10th. This release aims to provide broader access for both military history enthusiasts and players of the game.
The documentaries will be available on demand across the United States and Canada via AppleTV, Fandango At Home, Amazon, and YouTube. Interested viewers can currently pre-order the content on AppleTV and Fandango At Home.
