For players seeking a classic experience, the Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy 6 is recommended. Unlike other entries, it utilizes an ensemble cast rather than a single lead. The game is noted for its 16-bit era status, a significant mid-game plot twist, a memorable villain, and a soundtrack composed by Nobuo Uematsu. It is playable on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
Final Fantasy 9 offers a high-fantasy, whimsical tone that series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi once described as his ideal vision for the franchise. The story follows Zidane and Princess Garnet amidst a conflict involving Queen Brahne, while featuring the character Vivi. This title serves as a retrospective celebration of the series' history.
Final Fantasy 16 represents a departure from traditional turn-based mechanics, functioning as an action game similar to Devil May Cry or God of War. It follows protagonist Clive Rosfield and is the first entry to receive an M rating due to its mature content. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
