The FBI and Santa Ana police are currently investigating the theft of 6451 PSA-graded trading cards. These items were stolen from a FedEx truck in California on 13th October following their pickup at a Santa Ana facility.
According to a breakdown by TheGamer, the stolen collection includes 2978 Pokémon cards, 898 One Piece cards, 880 basketball cards, 640 baseball cards, and 433 football cards. The New York Times reports the total value of the stolen haul exceeds $963,000.
PSA has deactivated the certification numbers for all stolen items and provided a list to auction houses and digital marketplaces to prevent resale. The company has supplied investigators with shipment manifests, video footage, and item-level records to assist in the recovery process.
PSA has refunded grading fees for affected orders. Customers using PSA return labels are covered by insurance, while those who used personal labels are working with a dedicated team. Compensation is based on fair market value up to the declared insured limit.
