HoYoverse has announced that the 7.2 update for Genshin Impact, titled Hour of Ruin, will launch on November 4, 2026. This version advances the main storyline as the seven nations of Teyvat face a severe threat, prompting the Tsaritsa to gather representatives to prevent a catastrophe.
The update introduces two new Electro characters. Mitya is a five-star catalyst user who specializes in converting Superconduct reactions into Astroconduction, while Valeriy is a four-star sword user focused on support, shielding, and boosting Electro damage. Both will appear in the first phase of banners alongside a rerun of Furina.
Players will explore a new region in eastern Snezhnaya, featuring Novokitezhgrad, an underground city built beneath the surface and surrounded by crystals. Additionally, the Pico da Asa area will host the ancient city of Kitezhgrad, where players will encounter new quests and a massive oceanic creature.
The update arrives on November 4, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile devices. Players can participate in limited-time events to earn Primogems, ascension materials, and a free four-star character, alongside new challenges in the Miliastra Wonderland mode.
