Behaviour Interactive announced that the Chucky Chapter will be removed from Dead by Daylight. This decision follows previous instances where horror icons were pulled from the game due to expiring licensing agreements, such as the removals of Pinhead in 2025 and Michael Myers in early 2026.
Players have until Nov. 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET to purchase the Chucky content. After this deadline, the DLC will be removed from digital storefronts. While existing owners will maintain access to the character, perks, and add-ons, they will be unable to purchase any further cosmetic outfits for the killer.
To mark the departure, the developer is hosting a Last Chance sale, discounting the Chucky Chapter DLC to $2.49. The sale schedule varies by platform, beginning Oct. 26 on the Epic Games Store, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, followed by PlayStation on Nov. 2 and Steam on Nov. 10.
The removal confirms earlier speculation driven by social media rumors and leaker reports. This trend of losing licensed content highlights the temporary nature of some collaborations within the multiplayer horror title, as seen with the Halloween franchise license expiration.
