Key information

Independent developer Teacup Worlds has unveiled Terraglass, a voxel-based sandbox game for PC where players construct miniature ecosystems inside a virtual glass jar. The title allows users to manipulate terrain by piling soil, carving valleys, or creating rivers and lakes.

The game features dynamic environmental interactions where water erodes landscapes over time. Players can introduce lava to boil water, watch grass burn, or observe how rain affects the environment. These elements react to one another, enabling users to experiment with various natural combinations.

Beyond terrain, players can populate their jars with trees, buildings, and wildlife. A unique desktop mode allows the glass jar to remain visible over other applications, letting the ecosystem continue to function while the user works. Players can also inhabit their creations by transforming into birds, crabs, or villagers to explore from first or third-person perspectives.

Terraglass supports Simplified Chinese and includes an auto-save feature to preserve progress between sessions. While a specific release date remains unannounced, the game is listed as coming soon on Steam, with developers encouraging interested players to add it to their wishlists.
