Prime Video has officially unveiled Fallout Shelter: The Experiment, an unscripted reality competition series set to premiere on 13th January 2027. The announcement was made on Fallout Day, 23rd October.
The show features everyday participants navigating Vault-Tec shelters while enduring psychological dilemmas, head-to-head drills, and various moral challenges. The ultimate winner will receive a $1m prize for successfully demonstrating their aptitude for surviving the apocalypse.
Production is handled by Studio Lambert, known for The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge, in collaboration with Kilter Films. Bethesda Game Studios is also involved, with James Altman and Todd Howard serving as executive producers.
Viewers can expect the first four episodes to drop on the launch date, with subsequent installments released weekly. The series will be accessible to audiences across more than 240 countries and territories.
