Key information

Rockstar Games is set to release Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The title is described as the most immersive evolution of the series to date, arriving over thirteen years after its predecessor. Currently, there is no official announcement regarding a PC version.

Players can choose between the standard edition, priced at 80 €, and the Ultimate edition, which costs 100 € and includes extra cosmetic items like clothing and vehicles. A separate Collector's edition is also available, though it does not include the game itself. Pre-ordering any version grants access to the Vintage Vice City pack and one month of GTA+ subscription.

Regardless of whether players purchase a physical or digital copy, the game is effectively digital, as physical editions contain only a download code. To prevent server congestion, a pre-download period begins on November 12, 2026, though the game remains unplayable until the official launch date.

Grand Theft Auto VI is strictly a single-player experience at launch. Rockstar Games has not announced any online functionality, and there is currently no new GTA Online mode available for players.
