Riot Games has announced that the 2XKO roster is now complete. The final two champions, Sett and Samira, are scheduled to arrive in Patch 1.3.3 on October 27, 2026. This update marks the final major content release for the fighting game before active development concludes in December 2026.
The inclusion of Sett was an accelerated effort by a small internal team known as the Sett-pod. Originally slated for mid-2027, his production began in February 2026 with a strict internal deadline. By July, the team confirmed his inclusion in the final update, a development process that Balance lead Dawn 'Yohosie' Hosie described as a small miracle.
Following the October 27 patch, the game will receive a minor balance and bug-fix update, version 1.3.3b, on November 12. Official communication regarding the title is set to cease on November 6, with the Battle Coliseum Major event occurring from November 20 to 22. While active development ends in December 2026, the studio previously confirmed that servers will remain online and existing content is unlocked for players.
The release of these final characters fulfills a 2026 goal to introduce six new champions to the game. This milestone was reached despite the planned wind-down of the project, with the announcement following a significant reveal during the Evo event in Las Vegas.
