Riot Games has announced that the 2XKO roster will be completed on October 27, 2026, with the arrival of Sett and Samira in Patch 1.3.3. This update marks the final major content release for the fighting game before active development concludes in December 2026.
Sett was not part of the original 2026 roadmap. His development began in mid-February 2026 by a small internal team known as the Sett-pod, which accelerated his production from a planned 2027 release. The team established a strict quality standard, requiring a playable model and kit prototype within two weeks to justify his inclusion.
Balance lead Dawn 'Yohosie' Hosie described the character's rapid development as a miracle. Following the July decision to end active development, the team successfully integrated Sett into the final patch, fulfilling the studio's goal of releasing six new champions throughout 2026.
While active development ends in December 2026, the studio confirmed that servers will remain online and existing content will be unlocked for players. Additional scheduled events include a minor patch on November 12 and the Battle Coliseum Major from November 20 to 22.
