Riot Games has announced that the 2XKO roster will be completed on 27 October 2026. The final champion, Sett, will debut alongside Samira in Patch 1.3.3, marking the game's last major update.
Sett's inclusion was a self-imposed stretch goal by a small internal team known as the Sett pod. Development began in mid-February 2026, accelerated from a planned mid-2027 release. The team successfully created a playable model and kit prototype within two weeks, meeting quality standards by July.
Balance lead Dawn 'Yohosie' Hosie described the character's rapid development as a miracle. This release fulfills the studio's April 2026 commitment to launch six new champions throughout the year, despite the project's active development concluding in December 2026.
Following the patch, official communications will cease on 6 November. A minor update, version 1.3.3b, is scheduled for 12 November, followed by the Battle Coliseum Major from 20 to 22 November. While development ends in December, the studio confirmed that servers will remain online with gameplay content unlocked.
