Developer DoodleCorp has announced that the 2D platform adventure game Depths Unseen will transition from its current free-to-play Early Access status to a paid model. This pricing change is scheduled to occur on October 25, though external factors could potentially delay the adjustment until December.

Players who claim the title on Steam before the price adjustment takes effect will retain permanent access to the game and all future updates. The game is set in The Lab, a derelict research facility located beneath Selken City, where players navigate environments composed of rusted metal and crumbling concrete.

Gameplay mechanics feature hand-crafted 2D environments that blend platforming with puzzle-solving. Users must locate essential items, activate mechanisms, and uncover narrative clues while evading or confronting mysterious experimental creatures left behind in the facility.

Currently, three of the five planned chapters are available, offering at least one hour of gameplay and integrated Steam achievements. Following the initial price shift, the developer intends to maintain the cost until the 1.0 full release, after which no further price increases are planned. Additionally, any future DLC content will be provided for free.
