Key information
Hitscan has unveiled the Hyperlight X, an updated version of its symmetrical wireless gaming mouse. The device is scheduled for an October 28 launch and features internal hardware improvements designed to enhance click speed and reduce response times.
The mouse retains the shape of the original model but achieves a weight of 35-37 g, contingent on the use of full-size or dot skates. Key hardware upgrades include SPDT switches, which function by opening a circuit to decrease actuation distance and latency, alongside a PixArt PAW 3950 sensor and a Nordic nRF54L15 MCU.
The Hyperlight X includes an 8K receiver for factory-default 8 kHz polling. It is powered by a 200 mAh battery, a reduction of 50 mAh compared to the previous iteration. Users can manage settings through a web driver or an optional downloadable application.
Performance enhancements are attributed to firmware optimizations. According to @jakeufps, the implementation by XBAB Tech aims to eliminate DPI downshift and smoothing issues, further refining the mouse's responsiveness.
