Antistatic Studios is developing Phantom Line, a four-player cooperative horror action FPS set in post-nuclear Europe. Players act as special operatives for the corporation Mortfield, investigating supernatural anomalies. The early experience, Phantom Line: Prologue, launches on Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 26, 2026.
The game blends tactical military combat with immersive sim and open-world survival mechanics. Players start with minimal gear, managing hunger, thirst, and inventory capacity. A unique feature allows players to transfer their consciousness between HUSK characters, including AI-controlled support units. Additionally, players can manipulate most environmental objects to create makeshift paths or solve puzzles.
Reviewers noted that while the game offers high freedom in navigation and approach, it suffers from technical issues. The playtest build contained bugs, performance concerns, and inconsistent translations. Despite these flaws, the title succeeds in creating a persistent sense of dread through unpredictable supernatural encounters and atmospheric horror, rather than relying solely on jump scares.
Gameplay involves navigating dangerous environments where resources are scarce and enemies range from human looters to otherworldly entities. The lack of explicit navigation markers forces players to rely on their own judgment. With the upcoming release of the prologue, players can soon experience this blend of survival and psychological horror firsthand.
