Hypergryph and GRYPHLINE launched the new version, Tanqing Du, for Arknights: Endfield on October 15. The update introduces a new map called Su's Painting, which features significant elevation changes as players traverse a mountainous landscape. While the map is designed for navigating paths and valleys using standard mechanics, some players have begun exploring areas outside the intended boundaries.
Players, referred to as the Endfield Mountaineering Club, utilize various techniques to scale steep terrain. While operators typically slide off impassable surfaces, specific spots allow for climbing. Methods include using character-specific movement animations, such as switching between walking and running with Antal or Camille, and utilizing Integrated Industrial System equipment to gain height.
The community also employs ziplines to bypass difficult navigation. By reaching restricted areas, players can place these devices to create permanent access routes. Although some zones trigger a forced teleportation if entered, many climbing spots remain accessible. These activities offer no gameplay advantages beyond reaching scenic viewpoints, and the developers have not yet addressed these traversal methods.
Arknights: Endfield is a 3D real-time strategy RPG set on the satellite Talos-II. The game is currently available as a free-to-play title on PC via the official website, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android platforms.
