Arc System Works has released Kunio-kun's Survivors of the Dead on Apple Arcade. This title adapts the popular survivors-like action genre, tasking players with surviving against hordes of zombies while rescuing infected allies across various stages like city streets and theme parks.
Unlike typical genre entries that rely on automatic attacks, this game features manual control for two distinct attack types, including support for gamepads. Players can unleash violent punches, kicks, and iconic series moves like dodgeball attacks, which grow in intensity as characters level up.
The game incorporates team-building and loot-based progression. Players can recruit up to two teammates with unique attack styles and hunt for rare equipment with randomized stats. 4Gamer notes that while the difficulty curve is gentler than Vampire Survivors—potentially feeling monotonous early on—this makes it accessible for newcomers.
