20th Century Studios is currently developing a new entry in the Alien film franchise. This upcoming project is set to connect directly to the events depicted in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.
The screenplay is being written by Aaron Guzikowski, who is recognized for his work on Prisoners and for creating the science fiction series Raised by Wolves. Ridley Scott is attached to the production as a producer.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the narrative will center on the android character David. However, actor Michael Fassbender is not officially confirmed to return for this role, and the film is not a sequel to Alien: Romulus.
Beyond this film, the Alien: Earth television project remains in progress. Production for the second season of the series is scheduled to take place in London next year.
