The life-simulation game InZoi, developed by Krafton, has faced a rocky early-access period marked by concerns regarding its implementation of AI. While the developer has spent the last year and a half addressing various player complaints, the title is now embroiled in a new controversy involving its official social media presence.

The official InZoi X account recently published an image of a man in a leather coat observing children at a playground, accompanied by a caption suggesting users ignore the individual. This post was intended to highlight playground improvements and promote the upcoming Celebrity DLC, which is scheduled for release this December.

Following significant backlash from users who labeled the content as disturbing and suggestive of pedophilia, the post was removed from X. While the image remains accessible on the game's official Discord server, the developer issued a statement regarding the incident after the public outcry.

This incident occurs within a broader context of instability in the life-simulation genre. EA recently announced that a Maxis project related to The Sims is being paused, coinciding with broader corporate restructuring that included layoffs and the closure of BioWare studios.
