Webzen is marking the 20th anniversary of its PC MMORPG R2 by launching a series of major updates and celebratory events. These initiatives aim to commemorate two decades of service for the long-running title.
The R2SPECT FESTIVAL runs until November 12, offering players rewards through monster hunting, daily attendance, and mission completion. Participants can exchange event tickets and Chaos Points for items, while also receiving 20th-anniversary coins and gift boxes. Additionally, the game features a bonus experience event that grants extra experience points equivalent to those earned during gameplay.
The BEYOND 20 update, part of the The New Journey initiative, introduces improvements to the attendance system and the inventory user interface. Players can now obtain 20th-anniversary transformations and transformation skins by completing specific quests.
A new event server named Memoria has also been introduced, featuring rewards for initial logins and reaching specific levels. The server hosts competitive activities such as level-up races, castle sieges, and spot occupation events. Once the server concludes, players will have the option to transfer their characters to standard or specialized servers.
