MSI has officially launched the MPG COREFROZR AP15, marking the company's debut of an air cooler equipped with an integrated display. This top-mounted module provides users with real-time monitoring of CPU, GPU, and memory metrics, including temperatures, loads, and frequencies, functioning independently of additional software.
The hardware utilizes a dual-tower design featuring asymmetric widths, a copper base, and six 6 mm copper heat pipes. The display module attaches via magnetic POGO-PIN contacts and utilizes MSI's EZ Conn single-cable system. The unit includes two 120 mm PWM-controlled ARGB fans that operate at distinct speeds, with the front fan reaching 2000 RPM and the mid fan running at 1600 RPM.
Compatibility extends to Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851 sockets, as well as AMD AM4 and AM5 platforms. MSI notes the design was specifically tailored for AMD Ryzen X3D processors, suggesting strong thermal performance across various CPUs, though official thermal capacity ratings remain unconfirmed.
The cooler is currently available in China at a price point of 549 yuan, approximately $82. MSI has not yet provided details regarding international pricing or global availability for the product.
