Television viewers have several new and returning series to explore this weekend. Netflix brings back Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for a second season, while the romantic comedy Nobody Wants This continues its narrative. Additionally, the fourth season of the con artist drama Lupin has arrived, and the complete series of Orphan Black is now available on HBO Max.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners returns to Night City with a new ensemble cast across 10 episodes. Director Kai Ikarashi and the teams at CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger explore themes of corporate cruelty and technology. While some narrative elements feel familiar, the series is described as richer and more rewarding due to its character relationships.
Polygon highlights the performance of Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black, noting her portrayal of 17 distinct clones as one of the best performances of all time. Although the publication observes that some special effects have aged over the last decade, it maintains that the interactions between the clones remain magical and unique.
Other notable releases include the Canadian series Yaga, inspired by Slavic mythology, and the second season of The Terminal List, which follows James Reece as a CIA operative. Furthermore, the comedy-mystery Phony and the sitcom Newlyweds offer additional variety for audiences during this release period.
