Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 officially released on October 23, accompanied by a day-one downloadable content release. This Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) pack supports Activision's charity initiative, which assists military veterans in securing employment following their service.
The Valor Pack introduces Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter as a playable character. Carpenter earned the award for his actions in Marjah, Afghanistan, on November 21, 2010, where he shielded a fellow Marine from a grenade blast, resulting in severe, life-threatening injuries.
Carpenter's recovery involved approximately 40 surgeries to address extensive trauma, including a collapsed lung, a shattered arm, and the loss of an eye. He received the Medal of Honor from President Barack Obama in 2014 for his sacrifice.
Priced at $20, the DLC includes the Valor and Relentless operator skins, weapon blueprints for the M4 and Rezi 12, and a combat knife. All proceeds from these sales are donated to the CODE charity.
