Funcom has officially activated a new horror-themed event titled The Scourge within Dune Awakening. This limited-time activity introduces a mysterious narrative involving crazed attackers appearing in the deep desert, whose bodies are later discovered in a twisted state.
The event features evolving phases that task players with hunting special mobs, completing specific contracts, and solving various quests. Participants who engage with this content can earn unique rewards, including decorations and cosmetic items.
This seasonal content is currently live and scheduled to run through November 2nd. The studio describes the event as a progression of rumors and sightings that players can investigate throughout the desert environment.
Beyond the in-game event, Funcom is offering promotional synergy with the upcoming film. Players who purchase a ticket for Dune: Part Three via Fandango can receive special in-game items for Dune Awakening.
