Bazzite developer Andy East, known online as Andy10115, has announced the introduction of preliminary hardware support for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 and the Acer Predator Atlas handheld gaming PCs. This development follows the increased interest in Linux gaming and x86 handheld devices sparked by the Steam Deck.

The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 currently features full support for its display, including VRR and HDR capabilities, alongside functional back buttons with complete remapping. Sleep and wake functionality is also operational. While RGB lighting customization and native fan control are currently absent, the developer expects RGB support via Open Gaming Collective components soon, and an official OGUI plugin for fan management is in development.

Regarding the Acer Predator Atlas 8, the current implementation is less comprehensive. Users have access to initial button mapping and basic controller functionality for navigating Steam menus. However, advanced tap features remain pending a driver update, and the gyroscope, as well as the M1 and M2 buttons, are not yet functional.

The developer has issued a call for testers to assist with these new handheld additions. Users interested in the current state of these implementations can review the full update notes provided by the project.
