Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has launched with a new, inventive multiplayer map called Kill Block. Located within the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility, this map features a modular design that reconfigures its layout between matches. With over 500 possible combinations, the map challenges players to adapt their routes and tactical approaches on the fly.
The map consists of three sections: two outer End Slabs and one central space. These areas incorporate both entirely new designs and reimagined versions of iconic locations like Crash, Storage Town, and Shoot House. Players can utilize environmental cover such as vehicles and concrete barriers, while dynamic weather effects like rain or snow may further impact visibility and combat conditions.
Hands-on impressions from the beta suggest that focusing on the Central Slab is an effective strategy for navigating the shifting terrain. The map supports 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight modes at launch, where teams compete in single-life rounds with randomized loadouts. Future updates are expected to bring Kill Block to additional core multiplayer modes.
Modern Warfare 4 is available today on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Steam, Battle.net, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. The title features a full suite of multiplayer offerings, including 12 grounded maps, Ground War, and various classic playlists. Note that online play requires a Game Pass Essential subscription on Xbox platforms.
